Morgan Woods, an affordable rental community on Martha’s Vineyard, was recently honored as one of three J. Ronald Terwilliger Workforce Housing Models of Excellence, awarded by the Urban Land Institute. The award recognizes developments that maintain at least a quarter of their units as affordable, are built in high-priced areas near employment centers, and use public subsidies for less than 25% of their costs.
MassHousing provided $11 million to the 60-unit project, which doubled the affordable housing stock on the Vineyard. You can read more in Multifamily Executive magazine.
