As part of its ongoing effort to focus on minority business enterprise (MBE) and women business enterprise (WBE) goal achievement by property management companies that are managing MassHousing-financed developments, staff from MassHousing’s Diversity & Inclusion Division recently conducted two management company workshops at Academy Estates in Boston. These workshops were designed to provide information and technical assistance to property managers with housing developments in Boston who appear to need assistance in meeting their MBE and WBE goals, based on their recently reported achievement levels.
Discussion topics included MBE/WBE goal and reporting requirements, strategies for identifying MBE/WBE vendors, resources available to identify MBE/WBE vendors and challenges faced by property managers as they strive to meet their MBE and WBE goals. Property managers representing more than 20 housing developments in Boston attended each of these meetings. For more information, contact Jim Fortune at firstname.lastname@example.org.
