Blogs and podcasts, facebooks and tweets - social media is pretty involved. We're looking for input on how MassHousing uses and can use social media tools to better communicate with our customers, partners and all residents of the Commonwealth.
MassHousing will host its annual Community Services Conference, The Ripple Effects of Violence in Housing: Strategies for Prevention, Intervention and Treatment, June 3 in Needham.
Each year, our Community Services Department brings together housing professionals from different areas of expertise and different areas of the Commonwealth to address a specific topic that threatens housing communities. Previous events have covered hoarding and housing ex-offenders.
This year’s event includes keynote addresses Robert Macy of the Boston Center for Trauma Psychology and Massachusetts Public Health Commissioner John Auerbach. In addition, there will be three workshops and a networking reception.
Past conferences have reached capacity, so be sure to register now.
Spring is a great time to buy a home. Lots of properties come on the market in May, becuase they show better than they do in the winter months. You'll have many more homes to choose from compared to just a few weeks ago.
Don't miss a chance to visit a free homebuyer fair Saturday May 9 from 10 to 4 at the Holyoke Mall, Silver City Galleria in Taunton, Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough, Square One Mall in Saugus or the Westgate Mall in Brockton. If you find the home you like, then finance it with an affordable MassHousing loan with no hidden surprises. In March and April MassHousing set new records for loans made during a one week period. Homebuyers are drawn to our low interest rates, 30-year fixed rates and job loss protection insurance.
