For our next foray into Web 2.0, MassHousing has released its first podcast. The aptly named MassHousing Home Ownership Podcast will cover a variety of topics related to buying a home Massachusetts and the responsibilities of homeownership.
If you’re not familiar, a podcast is an ongoing series of audio files that are updated regularly. You can subscribe to the series using any RSS reader (like Juice or Google reader), and can listen to broadcasts at your convenience from your computer, your iPod or other mp3 player. Once you subscribe, new installments are downloaded automatically and are held in a queue until you have a moment to enjoy them. The software for the readers is free, as are the podcasts themselves.
We expect to release new editions, five to 10 minutes each, every two or three weeks. The inaugural podcast provides a brief introduction to MassHousing, and explains how we help homebuyers and homeowners. Future episodes will include interviews with various experts on a variety of relevant topics. You can listen the podcast without subscribing. The current and future airings will be posted on masshousing.com.
